The African School of Economics offers students two types of internal financial aid upon admission to help offset the cost of attendance. Students coming from ECOWAS member states[1] and International Students can apply to ASE Scholarship program.
Internal Financial Aid
- Tuition grant: This award is based on both academic merit and demonstrated financial need. It covers up to 1,211,000 FCFA. To be considered for ASE tuition grant the applicant must apply for it and submit all the supporting documents. This aid is renewable if the student maintains a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
- Work Study Program: offers 1,211,000 FCFA annually towards the cost of tuition and fees in exchange for 12 hours per week of student employment. Students may work as interns with one of ASE’s administrative departments, as teaching assistants with the faculty, or as a research assistants or data analysis assistants with one of our research institutes. Applicants must apply for financial aid and submit all supporting documentation in order to be considered for the Work Study Program. Participation in the program is renewable if the student maintains a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher. Doctoral students can only apply to the Work Study Program in their first year.
- Teaching Fellowship: offers up to 1,815,000 FCFA annually towards the cost of tuition and fees in exchange for a given amount of hours of student employment as a lecturer. This fellowship is only offered to Ph.D. students in their second year and above.
External Financial Aid
African School of Economics is in partnership with a number of international organizations, and governmental and non-Governmental institutions that sponsor some of the MBA and MMES students. Consideration for these scholarships is based on outstanding academic achievement and financial need.
